Future Homeowners Waiting to Be Matched
Right now, there are 9 future homeowners waiting to be matched to and purchase an affordable home with Habitat Capital Region. Between these households, there are 17 children who may never have had a bedroom to themselves, experienced the quiet that comes without sharing walls with neighbors, or felt safe playing in their neighborhood.
Damaris and Ismael’s New Old Home
Two first time homebuyers received the keys to their rehabilitated Habitat home. It is in Lansing, and they purchased it with an affordable mortgage. The homeowners purchased a home they have history with – Damaris and Ismael’s new old home.
Women Build 2023
A local family is one step closer to their dream of homeownership! This is thanks to the efforts of 75+ local women and volunteers who donated their time and energy to build a new house during Habitat for Humanity Capital Region’s Women Build, May 15-20, 2023. Over 400 volunteer hours transformed every aspect of the home.
