Homeownership Month

Right now, there are 9 future homeowners waiting to be matched to and purchase an affordable home with Habitat Capital Region. Between these households, there are 17 children who may never have had a bedroom to themselves, experienced the quiet that comes without sharing walls with neighbors, or felt safe playing in their neighborhood.

Two first time homebuyers received the keys to their rehabilitated Habitat home. It is in Lansing, and they purchased it with an affordable mortgage. The homeowners purchased a home they have history with – Damaris and Ismael’s new old home.
