Habitat for Humanity Capital Region invites community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Valencia Boulevard Development on Wednesday, July 1 at 3 p.m. This exciting project will become Habitat Capital Region's first neighborhood development and will bring ten new affordable homes to Lansing's south side over the next four years.
The ceremony will include a ceremonial shovel turn and remarks from future homeowners, community partners, and Habitat representatives. Future homeowners Souci and Edward will be the first to call Valencia Boulevard home.
"Becoming a first-time homeowner is something I've always wanted to do," said Souci. "Now everything is kind of coming together, and I'm excited for it."
Join us as we celebrate the beginning of a nearly $2 million investment in affordable homeownership and the first step toward building a new Habitat neighborhood in Lansing!
