You're invited to join Habitat Capital Region in celebrating Mario and Minerva, and their new home! The Habitat Home Dedication Ceremony with the homebuyer family will take place at Mario and Minerva's future home:

The event celebrates the Habitat homebuyers - Mario and Minerva, as well as their family - and the many people and organizations that made this affordable homeownership opportunity possible.
This home is possible thanks to the Ingham County Housing Trust Fund, and is adjacent to two other Habitat homes next door! Mario and Minerva will purchase their home through the Habitat Capital Region Homeownership Program.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the house and congratulate the couple after the ceremony.

About Mario & Minerva
Minerva and Mario have been married for 43 years and are proud parents and grandparents. Their son works as a coordinator for Downtown Lansing, while their daughter and grandson live in Texas. Together, Mario and Minerva cherish spending time with family and enjoy going out to eat, dancing, traveling, fishing, and playing cornhole.
For the past 17 years, Mario and Minerva have rented their home. While they’ve appreciated their landlord, the home itself is too small for their needs, and the surrounding neighborhood has felt increasingly unsafe due to crime and disturbances. This stress has weighed heavily on them, and they are eager for the stability and peace that come with homeownership. When they received the call that they had been accepted into the Habitat homeownership program, Minerva described feeling “excited, happy, blessed, relieved – I cried.” For them, owning a home is about building a safe place where they can enjoy peace, welcome their family, and know they are secure.
