You're invited to join Habitat Capital Region in celebrating the Valencia Blvd. Kickoff and Groundbreaking! The groundbreaking for Souci and Edward's future homes on Valencia Blvd. will take place:
July 1, 2026 at 3 PM
5650 Valencia Blvd.
Lansing, MI 48911
At the groundbreaking ceremony, future homeowners, Habitat Capital Region staff, community partners, donors, volunteers, and public officials will gather to celebrate the beginning of construction. Participants will take part in a ceremonial shovel turn and recognize the collective effort that is making the development possible.
“Becoming a first-time homeowner is something I've always wanted to do, so it's been a long journey,” said Souci, future Habitat Capital Region homeowner and Valencia resident. “Now everything is kind of coming together, and I'm excited for it.”
“I see a lot of possibilities for what that neighborhood could become over the next five years and the kind of community that could develop there,” said Edward, who will soon become Souci’s neighbor.
