Veterans Build 2025 Returns to Habitat Capital Region

Habitat for Humanity Capital Region proudly brought back Veterans Build on November 11-12, celebrating Veterans Day through service. This build marked the affiliate’s first Veterans Build in many years. Over the course of two cold mornings, groups of veterans and community volunteers came together to raise walls and build a future Habitat home on Ingham Street.

Working tirelessly across both days, volunteers added new floors and walls to Ingham Street’s Lot C, the second house in Habitat Capital Region’s dual-build project. Their dedication and teamwork pushed construction forward through the frost and chill, proving that service and community spirit endure no matter the season.

Veterans Build is part of Habitat’s national initiative to engage and empower veterans through volunteerism, and Habitat Capital Region is honored to continue this tradition as we continue to expand our affiliate builds. By building alongside future homeowners, participants continue their legacy of service and highlight issues of affordable homeownership for veterans.

This year’s event marks the progress of two new homes, and it celebrates the return of a build rooted in unity, purpose, and the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
