Sidewalk Sales 2024 at the ReStore were a big success!

ReStore Sidewalk Sales Raise Over 10% of Monthly Goal

The Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Lansing, St. Johns, and Williamston kicked off summer with a splash! On June 1st, 2024, the ReStores hosted an Indoor Sidewalk Sale - featuring 50% off a wide range of clearance items, 20% off everything else in the store, and the opportunity to win a $50 and $25 gift certificate.

Hoping to score a deal on items for their home improvement projects, ReStore customers flocked to the checkout. The proceeds from purchases totaled up to almost 20% of revenue raised by the ReStore in June of 2023...in just one day! Talk about a big day!

Sidewalk Sale funds programs

While customers were digging for deals, the ReStores were excited to not only make space in the warehouses for the annual influx of summer donations, but also to be able to contribute even more funding to the organization's affordable Homeownership, Critical Home Repair, and Ramp Programs.

The countdown is on until our next storewide sale event - National Thrift Shop Day!

This mid-August sales event has in the past featured storewide discounts, a cleanout of two large warehouses, customer appreciation activities, and giveaways. We hope to make it even bigger this year by cleaning out a third warehouse, having even more items for sale, and offering discounts. If you enjoyed the Sidewalk Sale or couldn't make it, National Thrift Shop day is for you.
