Women Build is a program that celebrates women eliminating inadequate housing by building homes and improving communities. This event takes place in dozens of countries and the program seeks to direct financial assistance to women-led projects worldwide. Local women join together to take action to empower other women, assist families to build strength, stability and independence and provide affordable home ownership in our community. This year, ten teams of 10 volunteers will work together over the course of a week to rehabilitate a Lansing home for Habitat’s Homeownership Program. By participating in Women Build, you can assist a family in achieving affordable, safe, healthy homeownership.
Women Build Kick-Off will be Tuesday, May 14, 5:30 - 7pm at Habitat for Humanity Capital Region - Lansing ReStore (1941 Benjamin Dr. Lansing, MI 48906)
