Home-In-One Golf Outing
Community Members Raise Their Clubs to Raise Funds for Affordable Housing, Repairs in Capital Region
Habitat for Humanity Capital Region’s Home-In-One Golf Outing had a full house on August 22, 2019 when over 100 golfers and volunteers came together at College Fields Golf Club for a day of fun to support the building of strength, stability, self-reliance, and shelter in the Capital Region.
The event included 18 holes of golf with tee box and hole games, a variety of competitions, some fantastic prizes, and the opportunity to support local households in need of a hand up by raising funds that go directly to homeowner programs at Habitat Capital Region!
“It is incredibly impactful to our mission and to the people we serve to have the community support and participate in these events,” said Habitat Capital Region CEO, Vicki Hamilton-Allen. “Whether you are golfing, sponsoring, volunteering, or advocating, your support means that we at Habitat can serve another deserving family in need of a hand up”.
Thank you to the volunteers, participants, and sponsors whose support made this event such a success! These sponsors include Lyman and Sheets, Lansing Masons, Lansing BWL, Affiliate Mortgage Services, Plante Moran, Townsquare Media, Federal Home Loan Bank, Crowne Plaza Lansing, Mayotte Group Architects, Laforet Team, Gillespie Group, First Contracting, Edge Insurance Group, Applebee’s Lake Lansing, Sparrow Health System, BRD Printing, Physicians Health Plan, and Kaplan Agency, along with the numerous prize donations from area businesses.
