No one should have to endure the struggle, stress, and pain of being unable to access their home safely and independently.
Habitat for Humanity Capital Region's Ramp Crews have built over 800 ramps around Ingham and Eaton Counties in the past 25+ years. Long-time volunteers gather once or twice a week to dedicate their time and skills to help local people create safer and easier access to their homes.
This program serves people in Ingham and Eaton Counties, Michigan. It is for renters, homeowners, and people living in mobile homes.
How Does the Ramp Program Work?
Qualified applicants to the Ramp Program are scheduled throughout the building season for a wood ramp to be built at their home. Ramps are customized for each location so there is no standard cost for a ramp.
Financial assistance is available for qualified applicants based on their household income.
