Position: ReStore Warehouse Coordinator

Reports to: ReStore Manager

Location: Williamston ReStore

Hours: Part-time, 30-36 hours

Employment Status: Non-exempt

Salary: $15 per hour

Job description

The ReStore Warehouse Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of our Williamston donation area, where donated items are dropped off, processed, and prepared for resale. This role supports Habitat for Humanity Capital Region’s mission of providing affordable housing by turning donations into funds for the community.

In a typical day, you might…

  • Greet and assist donors with drop-offs, evaluating and processing donations for resale.
  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse.
  • Provide excellent donor and customer service.
  • Sort, clean, and price items for the sales floor.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and warehouse standards.
  • Supervise and train volunteers.
  • Support general ReStore operations as needed.

Habitat for Humanity Capital Region is a dynamic, progressive nonprofit organization that works to provide affordable homeownership opportunities, home repairs, and accessibility ramps to low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham County.

The Habitat for Humanity Capital Region ReStores, located in Lansing, St Johns, and Williamston, are proudly owned and operated by Habitat Capital Region to help fund the work of the nonprofit organization. Habitat ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used items from individuals and businesses, and then sells those items to the public.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with diverse groups, including staff, volunteers, and donors.

For your safety, please keep in mind that the ReStore Warehouse Coordinator:

  • Will frequently lift 75 pounds
  • Spends majority of the day standing and moving about Habitat ReStore
  • Performs work that may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions
