Position description
The Marketing & Outreach Specialist will lead our efforts to connect with the community, build our brand, and share our story. This role combines strategic communications, content creation, and outreach to enhance the visibility and impact of Habitat for Humanity Capital Region.

Primary Responsibilities
Brand Management & Content Creation:
- Ensure all printed and digital materials align with Habitat for Humanity International’s brand standards.
- Develop engaging content for our website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
- Oversee the collection and use of audio/visual assets to highlight our programs and success stories.
- Coordinate and review content produced by other departments for consistency.
Social Media & Digital Strategy:
- Manage a social media calendar and maintain a consistent presence across platforms.
- Monitor online communities, engage with followers, and respond to feedback.
- Utilize tools like Google Ads, Google Business listings, and social media scheduling platforms.
Outreach & Community Engagement:
- Plan and implement outreach events to promote programs and services.
- Develop partnerships with local agencies and community groups to extend our reach.
- Create innovative approaches to engage with prospective homeowners and supporters.
Department Oversight:
- Manage the marketing department’s strategy, operations, and budget in partnership with the CEO and Development Director.
Qualifications
To thrive in this job, your strengths likely include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR Minimum 2 years of equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to manage social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and website management tools like WordPress.
- Experience in writing ad copy and promotional materials.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
