Join Habitat Capital Region in celebrating Carly's closing and the completion of our 134th Habitat home in the greater Lansing area! The Habitat Home Dedication Ceremony with the homebuyer family will take place at Carly's future home on October 22, 2024.
The event celebrates this accomplishment with Habitat homebuyers - Carly and her five children - and the many people and organizations that made this affordable homeownership opportunity possible.
This house is a Habitat Capital Region new-build project in partnership with the Ingham County Housing Trust Fund. It would not have been possible without the trust fund’s support! Carly's will purchase her home through the Habitat Capital Region Homeownership Program.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the house after the ceremony.

About Carly
Carly, a resilient single mother of five, faced challenges finding a suitable and affordable home for her family. Despite moving several times in search of better living conditions, Carly's children ATILL share cramped bedrooms with inadequate heating, while she shares a room with her three-year-old daughter.
After working hard to rebuild her credit and career post-separation, Carly qualified for the Habitat Capital Region Homeownership Program. Thinking about the future, Carly says, “Nobody can tell me what to do with it or take it away. With a rental, you never really know. What excites me the most is to have that home base. It’ll be something that’s consistent.”
We are so happy to see her making her dreams come true as she purchases her Habitat home with an affordable mortgage! Join our Habitat Home Dedication ceremony to celebrate the completion of Carly's Habitat house on October 22nd, 2024!
